A single-vehicle accident early Saturday sent an Argos man to the Marshall County Jail after striking a utility pole and rolling multiple times.
Marshall County Police were dispatched to 18B and Pine Roads about 12:30 Saturday morning and found a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Gage Meeker with one passenger inside.
During the crash investigation, it was found that the vehicle had run off the roadway, impacted a utility pole, and rolled multiple times into a field. Meeker was suspected of operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test, which later showed him to be over twice the legal limit for alcohol.
Gage Meeker was booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction as a level 6 felony and operating a vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more.
Meeker was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
The Argos Police Department and Argos EMS assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
