A major airport safety project has now been approved by aviation officials.
Mid-American Air Center manager Kurt Schwartz informed the Bi-State Authority Tuesday that the go-ahead has been given for the ODALS project which deals with the approach landing lights on Runway 27.
The project is expected to take 90 days to complete.
