Charges have been filed by the Miami County Prosecutor's Office in connection with a death investigation that occurred on November 26, 2025.

Miami – On November 26, from the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division at the Peru Post initiated an investigation at the request of the Miami Correctional Facility into the death of inmate J Trinidad Ramirez, 36.
