The Holiday Parade has become an awesome addition to the holiday season in downtown Plymouth, and Mayor Listenberger is happy to announce that this year’s parade theme is “Holiday Traditions.”
The parade and events will take place on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m.
Local organizations, families and businesses are encouraged to participate by entering a lighted unit in the parade. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. at the corner of Michigan and Adams Streets. It will travel south on Michigan Street and then go east on LaPorte Street down to River Park Square. Applications for parade units are available at the Mayor’s Office.
At the end of the parade, Santa Claus will come to town on a Plymouth Fire truck. After the tree lighting, Santa will be on the stage at River Park Square for pictures. Brandi Sullivan will be there to take photos, but citizens are welcome to bring their own cameras, too.
After the tree is lit, the Plymouth Park Department will unveil this year’s light show. River Park Square will dance with lights and Christmas music evening through the end of the year.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be available in the concession stand at River Park Square starting at 5 p.m. Quentin Flagg will provide wonderful holiday music as everyone gathers to light the city’s Christmas Tree.
