The quest by Vincennes University for another men's basketball national title has come to an end.
The #6 seeded Trailblazers were beaten Tuesday night by Northwest Florida State College 76-62 in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament at Hutchinson, Kansas.
They trailed 32-26 at the half but could not rally in the second half and were outscored 44-36 to suffer the defeat. VU was led by three in double figures-Dayton Williams with 27 points, Jalen Calloway with 17 and Drae Vasser with 12.
The Blazers finish the season with a record of 32-3.
