Maryrose Felling scored 15 of her game-high 21 points in the second quarter to help Triton Central pull away for a 55-33 victory Tuesday at Rushville.
The game was tied at 9-all after the opening quarter. Felling hit three three-pointers in the second quarter and the Tigers outscored the Lions, 17-10, to take a 26-19 lead at halftime.
Four different Tigers scored in the third quarter — Layla Compton and Cheyenne Allen each scored six points — to extend the lead to 42-28.
Quinn King hit a 3 in the fourth quarter and scored five of her 13 points to secure the victory.
Mikayla Herbert led Rushville (1-6) with 10 points. Kelsey Morgan finished with nine.
Triton Central won the junior varsity game, 44-26. Hayden McMichael led the Tigers with 13 points.
Triton Central (4-2) hosts Waldron (3-3) Friday in a girls/boys varsity-only doubleheader. The girls game tips off at 6 p.m.
