The Triton Central High School boys basketball team has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
The Tigers won the Class 2A, Sectional 43 championship on Saturday with a 37-30 win over Indianapolis Scecina at Christel House High School.
Junior guard Eli Sego led TC with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Triton Central beat the host Eagles, 48-47, in overtime Friday before earning a berth in the championship game.
The sectional title is the third for Triton Central (16-9) in the last five seasons and it came in Mark James’ 999th game as a head coach.
Career game No. 1,000 for James will come Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lebanon Regional against University.
