The Parke Heritage High School boys basketball team were runners-up in the First Financial Classic tourney held at Terre Haute South High School from December 26-30.

In their first two games, the Wolves dominated their opponents. In the first game, the team won over Greencastle, 73-52 and defeated West Vigo, 62-40 in game two.

In the semifinal game, the Wolves trailed the Northview Knights by 12 points in the third quarter. The team rallied back to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Wolves were then victorious over the Knights, 58-54, which advanced them to the championship game.

Once again, the Wolves battled a tough Terre Haute North team and the game went into overtime. In the overtime period, the Patriots outscored the Wolves to claim the championship with a 56-50 final score.

Treigh Schelsky was named the Gary Fears Outstanding Player of the Tournament.

Isaac Pickel was also named to the All-Tournament team.

There were 10 players selected for this honor from the 16 teams in the tournament.
