Prep Report: Shelbyville soccer collects shutout victory at Speedway

Shelbyville scored four first-half goals and cruised to a 5-0 victory at Speedway Wednesday.

Amara Lewis scored two goals and Lauren Ramsey, Camille Chaney and Adrianna St. Bernard tallied goals in the Hoosier Legends Conference victory.

Speedway fell to 2-8 this season and 1-4 against HLC foes.

The Golden Bears improved to 5-3 (3-2 HLC).

Providence Cristo Rey 2, Triton Central 1

At Triton Central, the Wolves scored a pair of first-half goals to spoil Senior Night in Fairland.

Providence Cristo Rey improved to 3-5.

Triton Central dropped to 2-7-1.

Boys tennis

Greenfield-Central 4, Shelbyville 1

At Greenfield-Central, Shelbyville’s lone win against its former Hoosier Heritage Conference foe came at No. 2 singles where Bram Kolkmeier improved to 9-2 this season with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Nash Berty.

The Cougars won the other four matches in straight sets.

Shelbyville dropped to 6-5 this season.
