Plymouth golfers score well in weekend matches SYRACUSE - The Plymouth Varsity golf team played in the Wawasee Invitational at South Shore on a cold and super windy Saturday. Chapman Yoder led the team with an 80, good for 10th overall. Fellow Junior Bryce Carmichael fired an 89. Sophomore Matthew Gerard started solid and finished with a 102. Both sophomores Andrew Himes and Nate Hutsell improved significantly on their second nine to both fire 104s. Plymouth shot a team total of 375 was good for 10th overall. The JV played in the Lafayette Jeff JV Invitational at Battleground in the similar wind. Freshman Owen Yoder led the team with a 95. Classmates Hayden Hopple and Kyle Johnson fired duplicate 106's. Taylor Medeiros rounded out the scoring with a 111. The JV's 418 was good for 17th overall in a very elite field. Plymouth is back in action Monday at Pretty Lake when they host LaPorte and Riley beginning at 5p.m.
