Plymouth falls to CMA in tennis action

24th-ranked Culver Academy downed Plymouth 4-1 in what could be a preview of another meeting in the tennis sectional. 

Singles:
1. Meera Desai (CGA) beat Tynley Gantz (P) 6-0, 6-0
2. Winnie Ma (CGA) beat Sophia Cantero (P) 6-2, 6-0
3. Barrett Brady (CGA) beat Mia Hartley (P) 1-6, 6-1, 6-4
 

Doubles:
1. Marley Christy-Emma Jackson (P) beat Emma Rudnicki-Ella Turget 6-0, 6-1
2. Kenzie Miller-Tenille Wogoman (CGA) beat Marisa Langfeldt-Lydia Wray (P) 3-6, 6-4, 6-1

“I thought we competed hard tonight against a state-ranked team and potential sectional opponent. Overall, it was a very close match. We put ourselves in position to close out some matches, but came up a little short. The match didn’t go our way, but we will continue to improve," said Plymouth coach Brad Haeck.
