Eight Shelby County athletes were honored as part of the Mid-Hoosier Conference’s All Conference Baseball Team.
A total of 15 players were selected All-MHC. That list includes Waldron’s Troy Atwood and Jordan Bennett and Southwestern’s Isaac Bunch and James Oliver.
Also named All-MHC were Hauser’s Kameron Blair, Lukas Christian, Stryker Gill and Simeon Wasil; North Decatur’s Nolan Burkhart, Matthew Fields and Xander Jones; South Decatur’s Corey Nugent, Grady Scudder and J.P. Scudder; and Edinburgh’s Avon Whitaker.
Eight more players earned Honorable Mention status. They were Morristown’s Ruston Kleine and Owen Rinzel; Southwestern’s Kaden Barlow; Waldron’s Jackson Kuhn; Hauser’s Peyton Bennett; South Decatur’s Corbin Johnson; and North Decatur’s Kamdenn McKinney and Eli Trenkamp.
Hauser’s Simeon Wasil was named the MHC’s Outstanding Player of the Year
Waldron’s Tommy Coy was named Coach of the Year.
