The Black Diamond Conference (BDC) girls track and field championship meet was held on Wednesday, May 6th at Carmi-White County High School.
Nine teams were in the field with the Fairfield Lady Mules capturing the title with 159 points, easily outdistancing Flora with 87 points in second place. Host Carmi-White County was third with 79 and McLeansboro (Hamilton Co) fourth with 67.
The Red Hill Lady Salukis finished sixth in the team standings with 35 points. They were led by Caitlee Gray who finished second in the triple jump and third in the 200 meters while Izabelle Eagleson was second in both the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles.
Next up for the Lady Salukis is the IHSA Class 1A Sectional meet next week at Newton.
