Phyllis L Marsolf, of Rockville

Phyllis L Marsolf, of Rockville, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 19, 1937, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of L. Guy and Marguerite “Peggy” Vermillion. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles “Ted” Marsolf.

Phyllis worked for many years at the Purdue Parke County Extension Service, from which she retired. She was active with both the Clinton First United Methodist Church and the Rockville Christian Church. For years, she enjoyed being part of the Parke County 4-H Program and selling jams, jellies, and breads at the Covered Bridge Festival.

Survivors include her sons: Chris (Katharine) of Rockville, Bret (Kathy) of Champaign, IL, and Mitch (Shelby) of Rockville; four grandchildren: Amy (Jamie) Rader, Cole (Missy) Marsolf, Alaina (Tim) Kent, and Scout Marsolf; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Vivian (Roger) Batt of Haysville, KS.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Maurice and James Vermillion.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, at Gooch Funeral Home in Rockville. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
