Judy Ann Paxton, 78, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at 4:50 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2026 at her residence.
She was born on August 8, 1947 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Edward L. and Giselle (Lagneau) Paxton.
Judy had been a homemaker and had attended the Akron Church of God. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, decorating her house, crafts and thrifting. She was always the conscientious shopper looking for good bargains at sales, always trying to find the best bang for her buck. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and the joy of being a grandmother to her eight grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Brenda Bowyer (Doug) Farmwald, South Bend, Indiana, James Owen Bowyer II, Greenville, Texas, William Edward (Terri) Bowyer, Culver, Indiana, Steven Lee Casey, Lafayette, Indiana, Angela Marie Ogle, Akron, Indiana, eight grandchildren, siblings, Tonya Paxton Haynes, Plymouth, Indiana, Dale (Jeannie) Paxton, Argos, Indiana, Lisa (Richard) Boal, Plymouth, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Paxton and Giselle Morris, brothers, Gary Paxton and Charles Paxton, sister, Danielle Marie Paxton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday May 22, 2026 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana.
Friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.
