Dolores “Mercedes” Cruz, 95, of Plymouth

PLYMOUTH-Dolores Cruz, Conocida como Mercedes Viuda de Orellana de 95 a?os, fue recibida en los brazos por el se?or Jesucristo el martes 10 de marzo de 2026, en su hogar, rodeada de sus seres queridos.

 

Naci? en Honduras el 18 de junio de 1930, hija de Ubence Calix Cubas y Dolores Cruz Caba?as En 1949 se cas? con Gonzalo Orellana, quien la precedi? en la muerte en 1972.

 

Dolores fue el ejemplo de una mujer de Proverbios 31, una esposa, madre, hermana y abuela virtuosa para su familia. Vivi? y ense?? a su familia a esforzarse por lo mejor de Dios, sirviendo a los dem?s como ?l nos ha llamado a hacerlo. No hay duda de que escuch? a su Salvador decir:“Bien hecho, sierva buena y fiel.”

 

Dolores disfrutaba cantar, cuidar su jard?n y pasar tiempo contemplando la creaci?n de Dios observando aves. Asist?a a la Iglesia Vino Nuevo .

 

Le sobreviven sus hijos:Hector Gonzalo Orellana, Reina Elizabeth Orellana, Jos? Daniel Orellana, Milgian Perez Orellana, Luis Francisco Orellana, Elsy Yolani Orellana, Wilmer Daniel Orellana adem?s de muchos nietos y bisnietos.

 

Dolores fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres e hija Rosa Emilia Orellana as? como por varios hermanos y hermanas.

 

La velaci?n se llevar? a cabo el s?bado 14 de marzo de 2026, de 1:00 a 3:00 p. m., en Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Oracion y Agradecimiento Dirigido por el pastor Renan Hernandez de la Iglesia Casa de Dios.

 

Dolores “Mercedes” Cruz, 95, was ushered into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

 

She was born in Honduras on June 18, 1930, and was the daughter of Ubence Calix Cubas and Dolores (Caba?as) Cruz. In 1949, she married Gonzalo Orellana, who preceded her in death in 1972.

 

Dolores was the pinnacle of a Proverbs 31 woman, a virtuous wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to her family. She lived and taught her family how to strive after God’s best, serving others as He has called us to do. There is no doubt that she heard her Savior say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

 

Dolores enjoyed singing, gardening, and spending time with God’s creation through birdwatching. She attended New Wine Church in Nappanee.

 

She is survived by her children: Gonzalo (Lucila) Orellana, Milgian Perez, Elsy (Renan) Orellana, Luis (Dominga) Francisco Orellana, Daniel (Kenia) Orellana, Reina Elizabeth (Reinaldo) Orellana, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents as well as several brothers and sisters.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1-3 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral services will immediately follow with Renan Hernandez officiating.
