Carolyn Sue Watson, 84, of Terre Haute and formerly Marshall, Indiana

Carolyn Sue Watson, 84, of Terre Haute and formerly of Marshall, Indiana, passed away December 2, 2025, at Union Hospital Terre Haute.

She was born June 5, 1941, the daughter of Hershel Hubbard and Olma Lee Knott Hubbard in Marshall, Indiana, where she resided for 65 years before moving to Rockville. In 2021, she moved to Westminster Village in Terre Haute and then to Anthony Square in Terre Haute. She married Edward Rainier Watson in 1961 at Waynesville, Missouri. They were married for 44 years. He preceded her in death.

Sue graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1960. She was a member of the Marshall Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother, Norman Jay Hubbard of Colorado.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, Hershel Hubbard; mother and stepfather, Olma Lee and Raymond Nickle; brother, Charles Robert (3 days old); and her husband, Edward.

Sue and her husband owned and operated “Witness Productions” a publishing company. They published over 40 books in 20 years of operation. Sue worked at RR Donnelley and Sons in Crawfordsville for 35 years before retiring, working both in bindery and prelim. She then opened a quilting business ”Susie N Stitches” for 12 years. She traveled many miles with her husband while he was involved with midget auto racing for more than 30 years. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, and train travel along with racing miles.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Poplar Grove Cemetery, 6591 N Marshall Road, Marshall, Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes and Rice Funeral Home of Rockville.
