Parke County law enforcement is handling a death investigation involving a woman found in a vehicle.
Just after 10:30 a.m. Friday Parke County deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a field in the southwestern part of the county. More exact details of the location were not released in the news from the office.
Deputies found an SUV in a hay field several hundred feet from the road. A deceased female was found inside.
The vehicle was determined to belong to a woman who had been reported missing to Rockville Police on August 14, Carolyn Braner, 79.
The death investigation continues and an autopsy was scheduled. Positive identification will be made.
Deputies do not suspect foul play in the incident.
