The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday morning through Sunday morning for the entire GIANT-FM listening area.
Heavy snow is being predicted during that period. Total snow accumulations for Lawrence, Crawford, Wabash and Richland counties in southeastern Illinois and in Knox, Sullivan, Gibson and Daviess counties in Indiana range from between 4 and 6 inches. Heavier amounts are forecast farther south.
Travel is expected to become difficult. Lawrence County and other residents are being urged to be prepared for the severe weather. Keep tuned to GIANT-FM for the latest in weather information.
