An early morning fatal accident just south of Coatesville Thursday morning remains under investigation, according to law enforcement.
According to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Road 75 near the intersection of County Road 600 South just south of Coatesville.
An early investigation indicates a Kia SUV was traveling south on 75 when it crossed into the northbound lane and was was struck head on by a white dump truck traveling north. The accident resulted in the fatality of the Kia SUV driver, whose identity is being withheld pending notification. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
As a result of the accident, State Road 75 was closed for a period due to debris and gravel being released by the dump truck.
