Both the Vincennes City Council and Board of Works (B.O.W.) met Monday for regular sessions at City Hall.
The Board of Works did approve a Memorandum of Understanding with the Knox County Chamber of Commerce regarding $450,000 in city HELP funding which will be used for a Downtown Development Coordinator position. That position would be filled by a Chamber employee and be involved with the development and improvement of the downtown Vincennes area. The City Council took action approving two grant applications--one for $40,000 for expansion of community healthcare and the other for $500,000 toward the establishment of a designated public bus stops and route in Vincennes to enhance bus travel for city residents.
