Both the Vincennes Board of Works and Safety and City Council met Monday night at City Hall. The Board of Works witnessed the swearing in of Jon Hillenbrand as Police Chief and Brett Bobe as Fire Chief by Mayor Joe Yochum as they continue to head those departments under the re-elected mayor. The City Council met after the Board of Works and did reorganize with councilman Brian Grove being elected Council President succeeding Tim Salters in that position. Ryan Lough was elected as Vice-President. During the business portion of the meeting, the council did approve $100,000 in grant funding to the planned Indiana Military Museum expansion project.
