A Plymouth man is behind bars facing domestic battery charges after a concerned individual noticed a woman's injuries during a video call early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, March 24th, at 2:08 a.m., officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the residence at 420 Webster Street following a report of a battered female. According to police, the incident was reported by a third-party caller who had been on a video call with the victim. The caller told dispatchers they observed bruising on the woman's face and noted that a male was inside the residence actively threatening her.
Upon arriving at the scene, city officers made contact with the female victim. She informed police that she had been involved in a physical altercation the previous day with her boyfriend, identified as 41-year-old Nathan A. Silva, who also resides at the Webster Street address.
Following an on-scene investigation led by Officer Witkowski, authorities determined that Silva had battered the woman.
Silva was subsequently taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked on charges of domestic battery and is currently being held on a $1,500 cash bond.
