During March for Life week, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) voted to pass two commonsense, pro-family bills that support pregnant women and ensure all mothers are empowered to succeed.
“Both of these bills reflect commonsense policies that empower women, mothers, students, and families,” Rep. Yakym said. “I’m grateful to my colleagues for their leadership in advancing these measures, and I’m proud that House Republicans continue fighting to uphold a culture of life, strengthen families, and ensure every individual has the opportunity to succeed.”
Rep. Michelle Fischbach’s (R-MN) Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act blocks the anti-life agenda by preventing the federal government from stripping Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding from pregnancy resource centers. It ensures states can continue to support these non-profits that provide free medical and material assistance to mothers and families.

Rep. Ashley Hinson’s (R-IA) Pregnant Students’ Rights Act requires colleges and universities to inform pregnant students of their existing Title IX rights and accommodations so no student feels forced to choose between continuing her education and having a child.
