U.S. 35 will close between C.R. 650 S and C.R. 600 S on or after Tuesday, September 30 through the end of October for a small structure replacement at Rock Creek.
The official detour will follow U.S. 24, U.S. 31 and State Road 218.
This contract also includes the closure of U.S. 35 between C.R. 1225 S and North St near Galveston for a bridge replacement over South Fork Deer Creek.
That project is ongoing through late November. Through traffic should use U.S. 24, U.S. 31 and State Road 18 to bypass both closures.
