Marshall County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men early Saturday morning in separate traffic stops after discovering both drivers had never obtained a driver's license.
Both incidents occurred on U.S. 31 within hours of each other, highlighting the ongoing problem of unlicensed drivers on county roadways.
A Marshall County deputy stopped a silver Honda on U.S. 31 at 12th Road at approximately 12:17 a.m. on December 21st, after clocking the vehicle traveling 91 mph in a 60 mph zone.
The driver, Edgardo Alabazares, 36, of Indianapolis, was found to have never obtained a driver's license. He was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of operating a vehicle while never licensed.
Alabazares' vehicle was impounded by Lyon Wrecker Service. He was issued a court date and released on a $105 cash bond.

Just over three hours later, deputies stopped a gray Honda Pilot traveling southbound on U.S. 31 near 5A Road at approximately 3:22 a.m. for speeding at 84 mph in a 60 mph zone.
The driver, Dilmer Rosales, 21, of Plymouth, was also found to have never obtained a driver's license.
Rosales was arrested and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was charged with operating a vehicle without obtaining a license. He was given a court date and released on a $105 cash bond.

Both men face the same charge and were released on identical bond amounts.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
