A 33-year-old man was hit and killed by a train in the city of Casey early Tuesday.
The Illinois State Police (ISP) responded around 1:30 a.m. to help investigate the death of the male subject, who was discovered at the tracks at East Main Street and Southeast 8th Street in Casey.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. ISP Division of Criminal Investigation units were then called in. The investigation remains active and no other additional information, including the name of the deceased is being released at this time.
