Residents in both Parke and Putnam counties will have an opportunity to get rid of toxic and hazardous items this week.
The annual Tox-Away Day will be held Saturday, May 10, from 8 am to 10 am at Area 30 Career Center, 1 North Calbert Way, Greencastle. The event, sponsored by West Central Solid Waste District, is open only to residents of Putnam and Parke counties.
Those attending will be asked to stay in their vehicle at all times and items should be in a box or container that can be easily identified and handled.
