The Town of Culver is hiring a seasonal laborer for the Street Department and a part-time clerk in the Town Hall.
The seasonal laborer position is the temporary workforce for the Street, Water, Wastewater, and Park departments. It may have periodic responsibilities in any area of the Town of Culver operations.
The position requires a high school diploma and a valid Indiana driver's license. The candidate should be able to complete significant physical labor daily, be skilled or able to learn to operate various types of machinery and equipment and work in all weather conditions as needed.
Periodic overtime may be required. Compensation is $10 to $15 per hour.
The sssistant part-time clerk’s position is under the direction of the Town of Culver Clerk-Treasurer. The Clerk delegates the duties and responsibilities. The job entails customer service and cash management, database maintenance, data entry, processing documents and forms, and organizing receipts/documents. The right candidate must have strong organizational and communication skills. This job also requires strict confidentiality concerning work matters and the public’s privacy.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Previous data entry and management experience, plus experience within the public sector, is preferred.
The position is no more than 32 hours a week, typically Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pay has not been set yet.
