After a year-long planning process, the Town of Argos has released the draft of its "Argos 2040 Comprehensive Plan" for community review, and residents have until July 7 to make their voices heard.
The draft plan reflects input gathered from a Steering Committee, community stakeholders, and Argos residents, all working together to shape a refined vision for the town's future over the next decade and a half.
Town officials are inviting community members to submit their "BIG IDEAs" during the 30-day public comment period. There are multiple ways to weigh in and comment on the plan: online at https://engage.macog.com/argos-2040, in person with printed copies of the draft plan are available at Argos Town Hall and the Argos Public Library, through the Town of Argos Facebook Page, and by phone calling the Argos Town Hall at 574-598-4420.
The public comment period closes on July 7.
Once the comment period ends, the Argos 2040 Comprehensive Plan will advance to the Town Plan Commission and the Town Council for final approval, with that process expected to take place in July.
Residents are encouraged to visit the project website at engage.macog.com/argos-2040 to learn more about how the plan was developed and to make sure their perspective is part of the final document.
