TVSC teachers will be receiving a raise in pay, thanks to an annual contract with the Tippecanoe Valley Teachers' Association that was approved by school board members during a special meeting on Monday. Raises range from a $400 to $2,400, depending on the teacher's degrees and their time spent working at the school corporation.
Tippecanoe Valley School Board members approved an annual contract with the Tippecanoe Valley Teachers' Association at a special meeting Monday, Nov. 11, that will increase pay for teachers. The contact includes raises that range from a $400 to $2,400, depending on the teacher's degrees and their time spent working at the school corporation.
Teachers with bachelor’s degrees will have a $400 increase in pay if they have one year of experience at TVSC, an $800 increase for two to three years at the school and a $1,200 increase for teachers working for the corporation longer than four years. TVSC teachers with a master's degree are looking at an increase of pay that range from $800 for one to three years of experience, $1,600 for four to 10 years experience and $2,400 for more than 11 years at the school.
It was reported that the overall salary at TVSC ranges between $44,175 and $80,650. Teachers insurance cost, however, was agreed to increase 1%.The new pay rate will be effective as of Nov. 29, 2024. Back pay will be sent out on Dec. 6, 2024.
