Operation Quiet Comfort’s annual fundraising event, "Celebrate & Support Our Troops," will be held on Thursday, April 10th, at the Plymouth Columbus Club. Doors will open at 5 PM, followed by a delicious pork dinner with all the fixings, including dessert, served at 6 PM. The program will begin at 6:30 PM.
Operation Quiet Comfort aims to provide physical and emotional support to America’s military personnel while they serve in harm’s way. It also offers assistance to those who care for them.
OQC collects, packages, and ships supplies to U.S. military personnel serving overseas. The troops need items such as hygiene and grooming products, snacks, entertainment, and support from home.
Operation Quiet Comfort provides essential emotional and moral support through care packages and cards. This is their first time away from home for many of these brave heroes. The care packages demonstrate that our nation genuinely cares for them and appreciates their sacrifices for our freedom.
This unique fundraiser is fun, includes excellent food, provides information about OQC, and is entirely funded by donations. The entire cost of your $50 ticket goes directly to Operation Quiet Comfort. Additionally, they offer reserved seating at a table for 8 for $400. Tickets are available at GIANT fm WTCA, A.S.K. for Flowers in downtown Plymouth, and the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce. You can also purchase tickets at H&R Block in Bremen.
For more information or to donate an item for the silent or live auction contact Ken and Jan Houin at 574-936-1424 or email janh@operationquitecomfort.com .
