A report of a threat to a Kokomo school was investigated and quickly disregarded Friday.
Kokomo Central Middle School was notified Friday morning of an anonymous threat through the suicide prevention hotline via a text message, regarding a potential self-harm situation involving a gun.
Kokomo Central Middle School immediately collaborated with local law enforcement. The building was secured, and locked down but the Kokomo Police Department quickly determined the threat not to be credible.
No further word was given on the wording or content of the threat.
