An anonymous phone threat involving Greenfield-Central High School was reported Wednesday.
As a precaution, all Greenfield-Central schools were placed in SECURE status while officers investigated the threat.
GCPD worked alongside the Greenfield Police Department and Hancock County Sheriff's Department to secure the areas around our schools and assess the situation. Once the areas were secured, SECURE status was lifted, and normal school operations resumed.
Law enforcement notes they were aware of similar calls received by other schools in the area. GCPD is coordinating with area law enforcement agencies to review these incidents and identify any potential patterns or connections.
The investigation remains ongoing.
