Thirty year sentence for Jamie Howell dealing and possessing methamphetamine

The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday, February 20th the completion of the State of Indiana v. Jamie Howell. The cases were investigated by Detective Sargent Jonathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Detective Derek Workman with the Plymouth Police Department. A second case was investigated by the Indiana State Police.

On December 15, 2023, Howell was pulled over by Indiana State Police in Plymouth. During the traffic stop, officers discovered that he was in possession of 13.4 grams of methamphetamine.

On January 24, 2024, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department along with the Plymouth Police Department executed a search warrant on 905 S. Michigan Street in Plymouth which led to the discovery of over 694 grams of Methamphetamine.

The Marshall County Prosecutor’s office filed charges against Howell under two different cause numbers. The cases were handled by Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas Langowski. On February 20, 2025, Howell plead guilty to one count of Dealing in Methamphetamine as a level 2 felony, and one count of Possession of Methamphetamine as a level 4 felony. After taking additional evidence and hearing the argument of counsel, Howell was sentenced by Judge Tami Napier of Marshall Superior Court No. 1 to a sentence of 20 years for Dealing in Methamphetamine and 10 years for the possession case. The cases run consecutively for a total of 30 years with imprisonment in the Indiana Department of Corrections
