The REES Theatre is inviting community members of all ages to discover their spotlight this fall, with two new theatre programs presented by Amy Beaucham and Dramatic Fanatics designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and create lasting friendships.
For adults looking to try something new, The REES Theatre will host a free weekly improv class for ages 18 and older. The class begins Sunday, September 13th, and will meet every Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Open to adults of all experience levels, the class focuses on quick thinking, creativity, confidence, and, most importantly, having fun. Whether participants have always wanted to try improv or are simply looking for a new hobby where they can laugh, meet new people, and challenge themselves in a supportive environment, the class offers a welcoming space to do just that.
For younger performers, the Youth Theatre Course is open to ages 7 through 14 and will run from October 19th through December 7th, meeting on Mondays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Young performers will explore the exciting world of theatre through acting, improvisation, puppetry, stage combat, oratory, and more. Along the way, students will develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills while making new friends and creating unforgettable memories. The course concludes with a free showcase performance on Sunday, December 7th, where family and friends are invited to celebrate everything the students have learned.
