Landlubbers and swashbuckling fans alike will have reason to head downtown Plymouth this Thursday as The REES Theatre partners with Discover Plymouth to help launch the "Summer Kick-Off Pirate Palooza" with a special afternoon screening of a beloved Hollywood blockbuster.
The REES will show Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) on Thursday, June 18th at 2:00 PM — giving families and film fans a chance to enjoy the big-screen adventure before the outdoor festivities kick off in historic downtown Plymouth from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
More than two decades after its original release, the film that launched one of Hollywood's most beloved franchises remains a crowd-pleaser for all ages. Starring Johnny Depp as the wildly unpredictable Captain Jack Sparrow alongside Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, the swashbuckling adventure weaves together sword fights, supernatural twists, and plenty of humor into a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience.
Adult Tickets are $8 for general admission, and Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available online through Eventbrite, in person at Na Rie Simple Treasures, or at The Everwise Box Office at The REES.
After the matinee, moviegoers can head straight into downtown Plymouth for the Pirate Palooza celebration, running from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and featuring treasure hunts, live entertainment, food vendors, and more.
