National Park Service (NPS) independent consultant David Kroese will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Lawrence County Historical Society.
He will present a program entitled "The Civil War in our National Park System." Over 90 of the nation's 433 national parks have a direct connection to the Civil War and Kroese will talk on those sites and recount tales of battlefield heroism and tragedy. He conducts NPS seminars across the country and has also written a book on the national park system.
The meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 28th at 7 p.m. at the History Center located in downtown Lawrenceville. It is free and open to the public.
