A teen who was reported missing from the Prairie View Group Home was arrested Saturday night.
At approximately 11 p.m., Plymouth Police officers were dispatched to 1827 North Michigan Street, the Taco Bell restaurant, for a suspicious male.
City officers arriving on the scene discovered that the male suspect was 18-year-old Travis Prater, a resident of the Prairie View Group Home in Plymouth who had been reported missing.
As officers attempted to make contact with Prater, he attempted to flee on foot but was caught. Travis Prater was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a charge of resisting law enforcement.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
