Great news for lovers of the Mayor’s Summer of Music concert series. The Sweetwater All Stars have been rebooked and are coming back this summer.

After Canadian wildfire smoke and the threat of severe weather forced the cancellation of their scheduled appearance on Friday, July 17th, the Sweetwater All Stars will now close out the Mayor's Summer of Music 10-concert series on Friday, September 11th, in River Park Square.

Laura Mann, Promotion of the City Coordinator, was disappointed when the July performance had to be called off but wasted no time working to bring the band back. "I hated to make that announcement," Mann said, noting how eager she had been to introduce this exciting new act to the FREE concert lineup. During conversations with the band following the cancellation, she asked whether a rebooking later in the summer might be possible — and the Sweetwater All Stars said yes.

After a slight schedule adjustment, the band is set to take the Senter Stage on Friday, September 11th, giving the Plymouth audience the performance they were denied in July.

The Sweetwater All Stars are made up of Sweetwater sales engineers, studio personnel, and local session musicians — a group of serious talent that has built a devoted following across Indiana and beyond with high-energy performances and a deep catalog of crowd-favorite classics. Fort Wayne's premier nine-piece R&B powerhouse delivers a groove-filled night of classic R&B, rock, soul, and Motown that keeps fans coming back year after year.

The September 11th concert will serve as the grand finale of the 2026 Mayor's Summer of Music series. Don't miss your chance to catch one of the region's most celebrated live acts in one of Fort Wayne's most beloved outdoor concert settings.
