Residents of the city of Sumner will be able to clean up their properties in early June.
The city council Tuesday set the date of Friday, June 6th as the date for the annual spring cleanup.
Citizens are urged to help beautify the city by setting items out for pickup on that day.
Mayor Betty Brian told GIANT-FM News that a list of items that will and will not be taken will be released as the date draws closer.
It was reported that 2 applicants for the vacant city police patrolman position will be interviewed by the personnel committee in April.
The candidates are currently undergoing background checks and preliminary testing.
Work is continuing by the Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission (GWRPC) on the city hazard mitigation plan and also to obtain grants for the police department.
