This project would not have been possible without the generous support of the Simons Foundation as part of the “In the Path of Totality” Initiative with IU Center for Rural Engagement, MIBOR REALTOR Association, the City of Shelbyville Parks and Recreation Department, and the Blue River Community Foundation.
The City of Shelbyville extends a special thanks to Geveko Markings Inc. and G-FORCE Indianapolis for their exceptional craftsmanship and dedication in bringing this vision to life.

Looking ahead, the City of Shelbyville is excited to announce phase two of this project, which will feature new signage and the addition of a gnomon sculpture, transforming the site into a functional sundial thanks to the visionary and person responsible for spearheading this project, Blue River Community Foundation Community Engagement Officer, Laura Land.
Stay tuned for updates as City of Shelbyville and its partners continue to enhance this unique and educational attraction.
