Dr. Beth Hall, Director of the Indiana State Climate Office and the Midwestern Regional Climate Center based at Purdue University, will offer a free program on Tuesday, April 11 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rees Theatre. Dr. Hall also manages the Purdue Mesonet, a free resource for real-time and historical weather data. The event is sponsored by the Marshall County Solid Waste Management District.
“We are so lucky to have Dr. Hall present her weather and climate data,” said District Director Marianne Peters. “We hear a lot more about climate change and extreme weather events these days, but we often wonder how that affects Hoosiers. Dr. Hall is a wealth of information and resources for those who depend on the weather for their livelihoods, such as the agricultural community, as well as people who just want to know what the future holds.”
The event is open to the public. The Rees concession stand will be open.
