The community is invited to support the Non-Food Pantry at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church by enjoying a chili supper this Friday.
The fundraising event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church's Parish Hall at 400 North Center Street in Plymouth. A variety of chilis will be available, along with toppings including sour cream, cheese, Fritos, and more. Cornbread, crackers, and dessert will also be served.
Tickets are $10 in advance, available through the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Facebook page, or $12 at the door.
The Non-Food Pantry began in 2011 and is available to those in need on the first or third Wednesday of each month from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The pantry is stocked with items that cannot be obtained with the FDA's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) — including paper products, soaps, and personal hygiene items such as diapers and wipes. Clients are permitted to visit once a month and may select up to eight items for their use.
All proceeds from Friday's chili supper will help keep the pantry shelves stocked for the community.
