One of the big fundraisers of the year is upon us: POLAR PLUNGE. Plungers across the country have been gearing up for their local plunges. Marshall-Starke Special Olympics is doing the same. Our plunge is this weekend February 25th. Joe Short, Assistant County Coordinator said, “We are super excited as we have a lot of new plungers and some returning plungers! On February 25th plungers from the area will be heading to the South Bend Cubs Four Winds Field to take the plunge.”
Participants need to raise a minimum of $85 for the opportunity to plunge. Not only is this an exhilarating experience you’ll never forget. It’s also an incredible way to make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. All proceeds directly support training and competition opportunities for athletes in our area and the state of Indiana.
Twenty-two individuals across Marshall and Starke County have signed up to support the local program. We have volunteers from the program plunging. We even have some family and friends that have just volunteered to plunge and raise money to support our local program. Even some of our athletes will be taking the plunge on February 25th!

We are super excited to announce that Marian University Ancilla College’s Baseball Team will also be plunging to support the local program.

We are so thankful to have the support we have received from our community. Rebecca Rose Johnson Photography will be attending with our group this weekend. We already can’t wait to see the amazing photographs they will take at this fun event!
