Officer Fisher with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Sunday, January 18th at 5:15 p.m. in the Kroger Gas Station parking lot. The stop was on a vehicle whose registered owner was shown as suspended.
The registered owner was identified as 33-year-old James Jackson IV, of South Bend. Jackson told the officer he knew his license was suspended. He said he had to return to court in Saint Joseph County in a month for driving while suspended.
Jackson was handcuffed, and during the pat-down, the officer located a black package with Marijuana inside, along with 2 THC vapes on him. When officers conducted a vehicle search, they located 3 other packages with green leafy substance inside and another THC vape.
James Jackson was transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked for driving while suspended prior and possession of marijuana.
