A FLOCK camera in Marshall County helped County Police locate a vehicle where the registered owner has a suspended license.
Flock's surveillance technology allows law enforcement to enter license plate information into the automated license plate recognition software and matches the registration numbers with the vehicle they are searching for.
On Saturday, May 4th at 8 p.m. Deputy Tim Hubbard stopped a vehicle after receiving a FLOCK hit on the license plate. The notification was for the registered owner who had a suspended license.
A traffic stop was conducted and the male driver, 42-year-old Honorio Hilario Manuel of South Bend had never held a valid license. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating without ever obtaining a license at 9:15 Saturday night. He bonded out before 10 p.m. that same night.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
