Marshall County Officers, Bourbon Police Officers, Bourbon Fire, and EMS responded to the scene. When Officer Truty with the Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene, the 2015 Kia Soul involved in the crash was empty.
A 30-year-old man, identified as Dylan Osterkamp, was found walking near the scene and identified himself as the driver. He was not injured. During the investigation, it was discovered that Osterkamp did not have a valid license. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail for driving while suspended with a prior.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed, and there is only probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
