Get ready for a night of heartland rock as SMALL TOWN – A Tribute to John Mellencamp takes the stage at The REES on Thursday, April 9th at 7:30 PM. This high-energy performance is part of The REES’ popular Thirsty Thursday Concert Series, bringing live music and vibrant community atmosphere to downtown Plymouth.
Formed in 2019, SMALL TOWN was created with a clear mission: to faithfully recreate the authentic sound and live-concert experience of John Mellencamp. From the layered instrumentation to the unmistakable heartland spirit, the band delivers a powerful tribute that transports audiences straight to the Midwest roots of American rock.
SMALL TOWN features a dynamic lineup of musicians dedicated to capturing the signature Mellencamp sound. The band incorporates fiddle, accordion, electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin, bass, and driving drums — recreating the full, rich texture of Mellencamp’s legendary live performances. The result is an electrifying show filled with chart-topping hits, sing-along favorites, and the storytelling that made Mellencamp an icon.
Concertgoers can expect beloved classics such as “Jack & Diane,” “Pink Houses,” and “Small Town,” performed with authenticity, energy, and crowd-pleasing enthusiasm. The evening promises nostalgia, connection, and a true concert experience that appeals to audiences of all ages.
