Site development plans for a new Speedway and a rebuilt Circle K were approved Wednesday by the Shelbyville Plan Commission.
7-Eleven, which owns the Speedway brand, plans to build a new fueling station with a café at 3901 N. Michigan Road off the Fairland Road intersection at Interstate 74.
The approximately 5,400 square foot building will include a Speedway café but no showers or a full restaurant. The project includes seven automobile and five commercial vehicle fuel lanes.
Overnight truck parking will not be allowed on the property.
Architectural plans are expected to be completed in the spring of 2026.

The Circle K fueling center and convenience store has been open for more than five decades at 2905 E. State Road 44 in Shelbyville. One of the brand’s oldest assets will get a complete overhaul in 2026.
The raze and rebuild project will produce a 5,200 square foot building that will include six automobile fueling stations and three fuel lanes for commercial trucks.
Overnight truck parking will not be allowed on site.
